Meet the Project Team

 

caringathome decal design Project Director - Prof. Liz Reymond, MBBS(Hons), PhD, FRACGP, FAChPM.

Dr Reymond holds the position of Deputy Director, Metro South Palliative Care Services (MSPCS). MSPCS provides inpatient, outpatient and community-based care across Metro South Health (MSH).  She is also Director of the Brisbane South Palliative Care Collaborative, the research and education arm of MSPCS. Her research interests include palliative care symptom management, advance care planning (ACP), and service delivery and development. Liz is currently directing the Queensland-wide Office of ACP, the Statewide PallConsult project, aimed at increasing community-based palliative care services throughout Queensland and the national caring@home and caring@home for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families projects to improve the quality of palliative care service delivery across Australia.

 

caringathome decal design Project Manager - Dr. Karen Cooper, BSc [Hons], PhD.

Karen works as a Project Manager for Brisbane South Palliative Care Collaborative, managing the caring@home and caring@home for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families projects. Karen’s major interest is in education to health care professionals. She has managed many national projects in the area of health education, primarily in palliative care and aged care.

 

caringathome decal design Project Consultant - Kat Hooper, RN. 

Kat is a very proud Worimi Woman of Northern New South Wales, Newcastle and Port Stephens region. For the last 10 years, she has specialised in community, inpatient and acute palliative care and palliative care for vulnerable and aged care populations. Kat's recent Masters studies have been dedicated to researching and gaining experience of delivering specialist community palliative care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, understanding the factors that facilitate and hinder its uptake for mob and being a strong leader and voice to enhance the appropriateness and acceptance of specialist palliative care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

 

caringathome decal design Project Senior Communications and Marketing Officer - Natalie Blauensteiner.

Natalie is a communications and marketing specialist with 20 years experience, working within Government and across the private sector. She currently provides communications and marketing advice and services across a number of projects in the Brisbane South Palliative Care Collaborative, including caring@home and caring@home for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families.
