Training carers

These resources are intended for health care professionals to support carers and palliative care patients.

The caring@home package for carers is designed to support one-on-one training by nurses who are teaching a carer to help manage breakthrough symptoms safely using subcutaneous medicines.

The package provides practical information that carers can refer to at any time and is appropriate for all jurisdictions in Australia.

 Translated Resources

Parts of the carers’ package are available in Arabic, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Tagalog and Vietnamese for use by those communities. Translated resources in Punjabi will be available later in 2020.
