Education for domiciliary nurses

caring@home is providing 1-hour education sessions to upskill domiciliary nurses to deliver quality palliative care and symptom control for patients at end-of-life and provide support for their families.

Topics:

  • A Framework to guide care in the last 12 months of life
  • How to empower families and carers to support people at home at end-of-life including providing practical care, managing breakthrough symptoms and administering subcutaneous medicines
  • caring@home resources to support a standardised, best-practice and evidence-based approach to caring for people and their families at home

Format:

  • Small group interactive session with maximum of 10 participants.
  • These sessions will take place online via Microsoft Teams.
