Translated Resources

Parts of the caring@home package for carers have been translated to Arabic, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Tagalog and Vietnamese for use by those communities:

  • Practical Handbook for Carers
  • Medicines Diary
  • Writing a label, opening an ampoule and drawing up medicine - A step-by-step guide
  • Giving a medicine using a subcutaneous cannula - A step-by-step guide
  • Information brochure for carers
  • Symptoms and medicines: Colour-coded fridge chart
  • Five short training videos.

Health professionals can provide these translated resources to carers/families, where relevant, to assist in teaching them to help manage breakthrough symptoms safely using subcutaneous medicines.

* Health professionals should refer to their organisation's policy and procedure on the use of  interpreters.

* For patient safety, the translated caring@home resources should only be used by carers/families who have a support network that includes a bi-lingual person.
