Project Champions

caring@home have established a community of voluntary local champions who are driving the use of caring@home resources in their local area to support carers to help manage breakthrough symptoms safely using subcutaneous medicines for people who want to be cared for and die at home.

Why be a champion?

You will be part of an Australia-wide network sharing new ideas and developments with colleagues.

As a champion you will receive our monthly Champions Corner email and the project CNC and wider team are available for support, encouragement and keeping you linked in with new project developments.

Who can be a champion?

Anyone who would like to support the use of caring@home resources in their area.

What do you need to do as a champion?

It is not expected that being a champion will require you to take on any additional work load.

Rather, caring@home champions:

  • recognise the importance of providing quality care and choice to people at the end of life
  • understand that the caring@home resources can support optimum symptom relief in people receiving palliative care in the community
